Salt Mission Kennels opened in April of 1989 as Country Canine Boarding, the name change came several years later. Salt Mission is highly thought of and recommended by East Mountain area veterinarians and several Albuquerque veterinarians. Clients also highly recommend us and come from all over the state and Arizona and Colorado.
Thanks for taking the time to explore the Salt Mission Difference. I started my career with dogs and cats when I was 16 and over the last 38 years I have been lucky enough to have learned from some of the most accomplished dog people in the country that expanded my world view and education every step of the way. Working for veterinarians, boarding kennels, groomers, trainers and other dog professionals inspired what is now the Salt Mission Difference. My understanding of the WHY I do what I do comes from having learned it’s all about understanding dogs and cats for who they are, how they experience the world, and what invites a meaningful relationship. At the kennel or my home everything is geared to meet their needs and the needs of my own Champion collies and cardigan welsh corgi’s.
I have been successfully raising and showing Champion rough and smooth collies forc 40 years and more recently Cardigan Welsh Corgi’s. Check out some of our dog by clicking Rebel Collies.
It hasn’t always been easy it’s a lot more work and education than many people realize but the relationships and happy dogs what a gift! Thank you for considering if the Salt Mission Difference is right for you.
